• So we were watching Deathly Hallows part 2, and Harry died exactly at midnight, which segued into the Kings Cross scene...
  • Mum: What's going on? Isn't that guy dead?
  • Da & I : Shuuush!
  • Mum: What happened to snake guy?
  • The camera shifts to Voldemort's soul fragment
  • Mum: Ew. That looks like a bad buffalo wing. What is that?
  • Me: That's a part of Voldemort's soul, Mum.
  • *pause*
  • Mum: ...still looks like a bad buffalo wing to me.

draconic:

Hogwarts will always be there to welcome us home.

You know, those times you don’t think the little details will ever be remembered, you’re simply wrong. <see the quote I posted yesterday :) >
Veritable proof: When I was younger, my schooling used to start in September and we’d get out in early June.
Now that I’m older, and going to a different school, going back feels different. Because we go back in bloody August. Yuck. It takes longer for me to settle back in.
But the magical thing about Hogwarts was that (A) it always started in September and (B) it would be there…always.
After this year, I’m not sure if my school will always be there for me. With the friends I’ve made (students and teachers alike), and the walls you know that can call back the ages, the clock is ticking down. I don’t know what I’ll see at the end, but I certainly hope that it is good.
